Since reading time is precious, why not celebrate it as I do with other parts of my life within a journal? I started wondering why I don’t do the same. My kids recently started summer break and as part of each day, I make them log each book read over the summer. I am very happy to say I can see over the stacks now. With the turn of the new year, I decided to start waking up early when the house is silent and still to make a dent into what was becoming a tall and looming stack of unread books. When I was younger, I used to inhale books, sometimes reading one a day, but then adulting got its claws into me and well, like everything, it became harder to find time.
